I 100% agree .. if you are selling high value used lefty guitars you need to be able to ship outside your own country.

The pool of potential buyers is very small compared to right handed guitars. Why limit it even more by insisting on no shipping and local sales only.

Even then some guitars seem to sit forever with no hope of selling, especially if they are not Fender / Gibson / Martin

You won't find many guys from the US importing a guitar from the EU or UK, why would they they have a bigger selection at lower prices over there

( which is exactly why I previously got a lot of gear from the US, because at the time the dollar was weaker against the euro ... and customs didn't have their act together so much )

@grythmic, sorry I missed your question.

The Bluesboy doesn't really sound like a tele. the neck pickup is a Duncan Seth Lover and the bridge is a G&L MFD single coil. Both have a lot more output than a usual tele pickup, so it sounds fatter and more aggressive, which is fine by me, I don't usually go for low output single coils.

It is great for blues, maybe some classic rock and is surprisingly good for jazz, the Seth Lover is a favourite of mine.

The neck pickup used in this demo is a G&L humbucker, but it will give you a good idea

J’ai l’impression qu’on tourne en rond sur ce débat depuis des mois et des mois mais je vais m’y risquer une dernière fois:
T’as des exemples? Concrètement…? En gaucher?
Parce que moi je regarde à peu près 10 fois par jour, et par exemple une R9 gaucher à moins de 5000 balles en ce moment y’en a UNE SEULE. Elle est à 4800 aux US et c’est sans frais de port ni taxes. Alors évidemment si tu compares avec les prix des droitières aux US c’est sûr que ça fait la diff vu qu’y en a à ne plus savoir qu’en foutre mais c’est pas franchement pertinent.

« Il n’est pas rare… » ? Encore une fois… concrètement? T’as beaucoup d’exemples?
Parce que franchement on en voit pas tous les jours des pelles avec les manches vrillés par le soleil.
Une tête cassée, même très bien réparée, faut avoir été vachement négligeant dans l’étude des photos pour passer à côté… à ce prix là t’es sensé faire un poil gaffe à ce que t’achète quand même.
Après des dings, des traces de ceinture et des frettes marquées ça arrive en effet… en règle générale t’en as pour ton argent donc les soi-disant pelles moins chères ailleurs elles le sont peut-être aussi pour une raison…

Information à vérifier, mais quand elles sortent de l’usine, environ 100% des Gibson sont expédiées une voir plusieurs fois, pour se retrouver chez tous les shop aux US, en Europe, etc…
Acheter sans essayer, oui ça reste un risque selon les préférences de chacun.
Faux, aucune Reissue a refretter, à tête cassée, etc. Faut arrêter les légendes Dans 0,1% des cas le vendeur peut avoir menti sur l’annonce, ou problème de transport, si c’est le cas PayPal et Reverb trouveront une solution, comme ils l’ont déjà des milliers de fois sur les millions de transactions réalisées

Pour en revenir à la R8 à 3000 après négociation sur zikinf, c’est une affaire. Fin de l’histoire.
Je ne pense pas que le vendeur ai fait de fausses photos, rien n’arrivera s’il faut l’expédier. Ca se revend facile à 4000 sur Reverb pour qui fera de belles photos et voudra expédier à l’étranger

In 1981 my first actual left handed guitar was a brand new with hang tags 1977 Fender Telecaster serial number S722605, white pickguard, rosewood board and finished in a transparent vomit colour.

It wasn't white, or butterscotch, or cream, or yellow .. it was trans vomit. If you've seen a '70s strat or tele in that finish you will know what I mean.

The pickups were extremely thin sounding and very piercing and 100% microphonic, and a couple of frets past the twelfth were uneven making bending up there terrible. ( only realised all this some time later of course )

Why did I buy it ? I was playing about a year or so and had no clue, and it was a real made in the USA Fender .. and there was absolutely NOTHING else available in lefty.

What does all that have to do with this guitar for sale ? The serial number is very close, S722764, and it has been refinished ... I wonder why ... I'm guessing it was that lovely trans puke colour

If the pickups are original buy some earplugs.

The seller was looking over 3000 for it, now it is around 2000, still no takers.

Not every 70s Fender is worth a lot of $$$$, not all of them are dogs either.

By the way when a guitar refinished it is no longer original, and worth even less, I'd just buy a new American Pro 2 Tele, in fact I did last December, way way better than a '70s Tele by a very large margin, it even has a rosewood board and the pickups don't squeal or remove your ear wax from 100 metres.
